What are your worship times and styles?

    Two services of worship are held at FUMC each Sunday, one at 9 AM and one at 11:15 AM. 

    

   The 9 AM service is held in the classic, or traditional style.  At this service you can expect established hymnody, liturgy, regular offerings from the choir and occasional handbell music.

 

    The Door, our 11:15 service of praise and worship is held in the Fellowship Hall and is intentionally geared to be relaxed and informal.  Here you'll worship to upbeat rock based music.  Coffee and treats are served during the service, permission to ask questions or request clarification during the message is granted.  Comfortable dress is in order.  If you've been away from church awhile or are exploring your faith, the Door is a good place to begin.  Click on the Door tab or button on our home page to visit.  

 

    The overall theme and the message is basically the same at each service.  

 

What do Sunday mornings look like at First Church?

    You'll be warmly greeted and welcomed by any of our groups.  People are exceptionally friendly and open, you'll feel at home at church in any sort of clothing.  We work hard to design services that are inspirational, relevant, appropriately challenging and we try to include children and special musicians in our worship.

 

Is there anything for kids?

    We offer Sunday school for children at 10 AM during the regular Sunday School time.  Additionally we offer children's church during the 9 AM service every-other week.  You may be interested in the Starshine preschool as a weekday offering.
