United Methodist Men/ Women
Living Christ’s love by Connecting Faith to Life through passionate worship, genuine fellowship and tangible outreach
The United Methodist Men (UMM) meet on the first Saturday of the month at 7:30AM at the church. Breakfast is served. The usual agenda includes a devotional, a speaker, and a short business meeting. All men in the congregation are welcome. There are no dues, but a collection is taken to offset the cost of breakfast. David Sage is this years President and Don Rohr is the vice-president and treasurer.
UMM organizes the church’s food booth operation at the annual Santa-Cali-Gon festival, but it depends on volunteer workers from the congregation. Also, it provides various capital improvements, supports church youth for summer camp, and sponsors a church-wide Valentine Banquet.
First church has two United Methodist Women‘s groups that offer ladies a time of fellowship and learning with other women. The programs vary by group and month. A national reading program and mission initiatives are hallmarks of the UMW!
Good Samaritan Circle- meets on the 2nd Wed of the month, 10:00AM at the church. Flo Latta leads the circle.
Patience Circle- meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00PM in member’s homes. Look forward to a few summer day trips too! Debbie Carter and Barbara Greeson co-lead.
